MPI WEC In Vancouver, BC & a Google-icious Brain Freeze!

What a beautiful city! Over 2500 meeting professionals gathered for an outstanding conference in a beautiful convention center. The keynote speakers were outstanding and the stories about the Vancouver Winter Olympics were compelling, touching and inspiring. The Final night Street Fair was fun and lively... More Pictures to follow!

"When We Meet, We Change the World" was never more accurate!

Yours Truly took it to heart and attended all of James Spellos' classes for two days. James, the master of high tech gadgets, internet shortcuts and how-to's finally convinced me to set up my blog, something I have creatively avoided for a year or so! His class on Google-icious was amazing and I only had to take it twice to figure out I didn't know what I didn't know! I attended the same class a year or so ago but this time, the brain was not quite mush by the end of the day. Not satisfied with "Google-Torture", I then tightened the screws on my head and signed up for the Twitter class knuckling to Jim's not so subtle pressure.

"No way!" I said. No Tweeting for me, I don't care that your tummy is growling or that you want to go to bed or that you had a rip roaring time with the Hilton Sales guys last night!!! But Jim said do it so I did and next comes the Twitter Account!!!

Never say Never!

Jim validated this new form of social communication to this old gal and convinced me that I have a story to tell. It seems it is just not fair to keep my 33 years in the Hawaii travel industry to myself..... He has heard some of my stories and, well, I guess they need to be told.....

So away we go on the Blog and the Tweet and so much for my Facebook account remaining sacred and professional once I "Friended" my kids! (Jim says I can make them "private" but I haven't figured out how yet). So you better go catch up on my children's wild ways before I do!

So stand by for some fun facts and never told stories in the days to come!
